Fat Tuesday

Jerm's office had a Fat Tuesday party (any reason to "celebrate", right?) so me and the kiddos joined in the fun. Kadee Sweeney called that day and was in town so she stopped by to say hi!

Halo, Tyler and Paige (we're still working on her fake smile...ha!)
She loves Tyler so much!

Me and Kadee striking a back to back pose just to be cheesey :)

Lunch with the whole fam!

The whole family came in town for Tyler's first birthday party! Todd and Clela snuck in a day early to get a little loving on Thursday and my parents landed Friday around noon. We all met met up by Jerm's work to grab some lunch. We only had one spilled drink so with 4 kiddos and 9 adults, that's not too bad!

It's a Paige sandwich!

Welcome Home!

What a sweet surprise me and Tyler came home to. A welcome home Mommy and Tyler sign on the front door! And, Jeromy TOTALLY surprised me and had the house super clean (even the toilets!!) and had a few candles lit around the house. What a sweetie pie!!! I really missed him and Paigey and we were glad to be home :)

Tyler's Boo Boo

I still can't even believe that this happened! Tyler was walking around in socks (without grippers)...slipped and fell in the bathroom...and cut his eye on the bathtub! :( Poor, poor baby. It happened in my parents bathroom in Texas, which might seem a little more stressful that it happened there, but it actually was just the opposite. It was so nice to have my Mom and Dad there to help and I'm glad Paige wasn't there because I think it might have freaked her out. We got right in the hospital and the staff was great.

Here we are waiting to see the doc

Tyler did SO well with the stitches. I was really nervous and it went as smooth as it possibly could. They put numbing medicine on it and it worked wonders. He didn't feel a thing and just sucked on his passy and really didn't seem to be bothered! Thank GOD! Here's the after pictures. POOR BABY!!!

Surprise!

What a fun surprise!! Jennifer and Rich got married at the justice of the peace and had a celebration a few weeks later. I told her I wasn't going to be able to make it but pulled it off (with some help and a few air miles from Wally Pop...thanks Dad!!) and surprised her!! She had the girls over the night before to help with all the final details so I went over then and surprised her! How fun!!!

Meredith, me, Jennifer and Sarah
Me and Mrs. Crossley!

Sarah, Sara and me (yes, that's right I have even more best buddies named Sara!)

A little out of order...but here's all the girls the night before getting all the final details together.
Congrats to Jennifer and Rich!!

Visit with Papa and MeMaw

We spent one afternoon with Papa and MeMaw. Fun times! We hadn't been there long before Papa brought out Tyler's present.

What could it be?!?!
Yehaw Cowboy!! My very own Cowboy hat!!
Papa and Tyler were buddies right away. Might have had something to do with the sugar cookies Papa was feeding him...
Hey Papa, I don't think it's going to fit! (How cute is he by the way...I love my Papa!)

Hanging with their dog Duke...named after John Wayne of course
Hey MeMaw...whatcha hiding back here?
Ah ha!
You sure are a comfy seat Papa
cutest little cowboy I've ever seen
The hat didn't stay on long so I had to hold Tyler's hands to get a quick pic

Then he outsmarted me and started looking up to knock the hat off!

After hanging for a while we went to lunch. My Papa is King of cafeteria style restaurants...Furr's and Luby's are his all time favorite. The menu consists of fried okra, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and of course the dinner rolls. They have a few other options than these but you get the idea. So, we headed to the closest one like that. What an experience :)

Papa, I like the way you roll!
Ha! This picture cracks me up. They look the same!! Can't bend over that well because of their little round bellies!
He also got Tyler a pair of Wrangler jeans, and a George Strait cowboy shirt to go along with his hat. I can't wait until he's big enough to wear them...
