Petting Zoo

A few weeks ago (what a bad blogger!) we went to the petting zoo with the Lavia and Szekeres family. What a fun afternoon!
Tyler was braver that I was! I would get all freaked out that the animals were going to bite my fingers off!
He liked this one...maybe because they share the same hair color...ha!
Oh, the guinea pigs...the kids loved them!

Tyler was SO PRECIOUS trying to feed the rabbits. Oh my goodness...he was so sweet and gentle!

How sweet is this picture?!
Okay, sorry to repeat myself for each picture...but I think these are all so stinkin sweet!

And, this is my new favorite picture of Paige. So cute of her and her best preschool bud Lulu.
What a big boy! He rode the train all by himself ;)
After all the petting zoo and train fun they could handle we walked to Ruby's for lunch. Total chaos with 6 kids but they did great and we had a blast!

Lulu, Paige and Brooke (I can't believe how tall Paige is!)

Jeromy's Birthday Surprise!

Tootsie came in town a few Friday's ago and we put her work right away! I had an appointment Friday afternoon and Friday night I surprised Jeromy with a sunset cruise on a sailboat! Here we are about to leave. Jeromy's trying to look a little apprehensive here I guess!
What a fun adventure!
Jeromy was really surprised and we had a great time together ;)

Cowgirl Hat

I have a lot of catching up to do...ahh!! Anyway, but Tootsie and Wally Pop were here a few weeks ago and they brought Paige a pink cowgirl hat!! Tootsie always asks Paige what she wants for her to bring and somewhere out of the blue requested a pink cowgirl hat! And, no surprise...Tootsie pulled through and brought her a pink cowgirl hat :)

Don't worry Tyler, we didn't forget about you! Tootsie brought him a new trash truck...that he loves!

Hotdogs for Everyone!

This self portrait was taken one random day so I thought I'd throw it in this post...for no particular reason :)
Okay, back to the hotdog title...we were playing in the neighborhood one night and the neighbors brought out this tiny skateboard...how cute!

And, here's documentation that I made Jeromy put a helmet on him :)
So, one of Paige's friends was in the house and I asked Paige if they wanted hotdogs for dinner and the next thing I knew we had Kidz Bop playing on our front porch, picnic tables in our front yard and every kid in the neighborhood ready and waiting for dinner! We all had fun :)

After we cleaned everything up the kids both snuggled up to me on the couch. Nothing can describe how much I LOVE these kids!!

Happy Birthday Jeromy!

I decorated the house and made muffins for Jeromy's birthday. It was a crazy busy day for the both of us but we did eat breakfast and dinner together as a family so I'm not complaining!

Pedicure on her toes, toes

Happy Birthday Paige! Paige McFarland that is :) She had her 5th birthday party at a nail salon and then the girls went back to her house for pizza after. Paige had a BLAST! And, a surprise to all...wanted purple toes!

Paige & Paige

Jumping a little before pizza time. Oh, and you might notice Tyler in the corner - Jeromy and Tyler came over and we rode together to meet Grammy, Pappy, Matt and Reyna for dinner - it was Jeromy's official birthday! Tyler LOVES his backpack and cries for us to put it on. Ha!

Life with 4 kids and a night with Grammy & Pappy

Whew...4 kids = a messy house!! Ava and Ethan came over for about 3 hours while Nicole ran a run and I couldn't keep up with the messes! The kids (and Jeromy too!) had so much fun!
Jeromy and the boys made a race track and play area for the dinosaurs and farm animals
And, later that afternoon Grammy and Pappy came over! They got here Wednesday and spent time with Matt and Reyna for the first part of their trip.

Paige and Grammy painting (and Paige with her side pony tail compliments of Ava!)
And now Paige with wet hair from a bath! And, of course another outfit. I think Pappy read Tyler that tractor book about 100 times!

Handy Hubby

You might remember Jeromy and his Dad ripping up all of the cactus plants the day of Paige's recital. Jeromy wanted to build a sandbox in the space. Then he wanted to add a shade over it...and decided to build a playhouse over it. After getting into it, he decided a deck with a roof would be better and I agreed so that's what he did! He's still deciding what kind of roof he wants...I'm voting for a canvas one...so it's 90% done but totally functioning and the kids have had so much fun building it, painting it and now playing in it!

Day one of constuction
Getting some help from the neighborhood kids
All the kids hanging on the deck...even Rohan and Vijay's grandma came over to check it out!
Staining it
And another crew of neighborhood kids over to check it out!
Chris and Jeromy enjoying a cold one
And, it's finished! You can kinda see the kids below playing in the sand
It was completed last Friday and this Sunday I took my parents to the beach and Jeromy decided to use the scraps and build a picnic table for the kids! He didn't go to the beach with us because he cut his knee surfing on Saturday. Anyway, he seriously busted this out in a few hours. IMPRESSED! He stained it last night and it should be dry to have dinner on it tonight! Maybe he's in the wrong business? Anyway, I put my foot down on these outside projects and asked him to focus on the inside of the house! I have lots of new decorating ideas...first of which I want him to frame all of our windows and install wainscoting in our downstairs bathroom. Hopefully you'll be seeing pictures of this soon :)
