The other day I was chatting with a friend I hadn't seen in a while and said Paige was almost 3 1/2...and before I could say anything else, Paige said "And, next year I'm going to be FOUR. And, when I grow up I'm going to be a rockstar and a Mom." Ha! She now says this on a daily basis.

Another day of fun
Started with morning snuggles
And, then off to the lake to go fishing! Pappy and Paige cleaning the fishing pole. Paige wanted Grammy to braid her hair like this and didn't want a bow! I made her wear pants because it was chilly. The only way she'll wear pants is if they are leggings and she can wear a skirt over them or if it's a "dress shirt" with leggings underneath. Prissy pants!
Yup. This pretty much sums up Paige. Tomboy enough to enjoy fishing but prissy enough to have on a tutu while doing it :)1st day at Grammy & Pappy's
Paige wasted no time when she woke up Friday morning! Before she even ate breakfast, she started painting with Grammy.
Tyler was having fun too! Look at all of his teeth!
Lunch time! Paige pulled her chair next to Tyler's all by herself. She sure does love him!
Shooting some hoops with Grammy
After naps it was time to color some eggs! Paige hasn't done this before and she didn't understand. She went and grabbed crayons to color them!
Mom, it turned blue!
And, last but not least, a little snuggle time with Pappy before bedtime.
Over the river...
and through the woods to Grammy's house we go! We haven't been to Grammy and Pappy's house since last Father's Day!! We planned to get up and leave at 8am Thursday morning. I had most of the packing done and we were all set to get up and go. Tyler woke up Wednesday night at midnight crying and shivering...hmmm...not good. I called the doctor and they said his temperature was spiking so to give him Motrin and if it doens't go down, head to the ER. Gave him the medicine and he threw up...poor baby! I start crying and called Jeromy. He was at a networking event downtown and hadn't made it home yet. I'm not one to freak out but this was not something I was used to! I gave him another dose of Motrin since he just threw the other one up and his temperature had spiked from 98.9 when I first got him out of the crib to 102.8 in a matter of about 20 minutes. I held him for a while and noticed he was breathing heavy so I used his inhaler for the first time. (My kids have had a rough year in the sickness department! Hence the previous post with all the details.) He slept through the night and woke up with a 99 temperature. Happy his temperature was better but I wasn't going to risk it and called the doctor. They couldn't get us in until 2:45pm. 245?! Not in my plan and I tried to get us in earlier but they wouldn't budge. So, I decided to go ahead and take Paige to music and dance. I was so excited because we hadn't been in 2 weeks! So, off to music and had a great time. Get to dance and the studio is closed for Easter. Pooh! Oh well, back home we go to finalize packing. We got all packed up and headed to the doctor. Thankfully, it was all really due to teething! There was so much drool going down his throat that it was causing the heavy breathing and the temperature was because of teething too. Crazy, huh? His ear was still a little swollen so she prescribed 4 more days of his current antibiotics. Really. The exact stuff that I had poured down the drain that morning because we finished his 10 days the night before? Yup. Anyway, got on the road and pulled over at a random CVS and it took an hour to get it filled. AHH!! We finally made it to Grammy and Pappy's around 9pm. The kids played for a minute and off to bed we all went. Phew...what a day!
Oh yeah...and right before me and Paige left for dance, Jeromy was pulling in the garbage bins from the street and found a baby rattlesnake!!!!!

No More Sick Stallings!
My poor kiddos haven't caught a break this year! I don't even remember when Paige started coughing but I finally took her in around the end of February and she got some antibiotics. We went for Tyler's one year checking mid-March and Tyler had double ear infections and Paige had her first ear infection! She hadn't complained about it, I just had the doctor check her out because she was still coughing. Round one of antibiotics for the Tyler and round two for Paige. Finished those and we went back to the doctor right after those were done because Tyler had croup! Thankfully after one breathing treatment at the doctor, his croup went away. We went back a few days later because of fever to find that he had another ear infection. Another one?! Round two for Tyler. Then we went back the beginning of this month because Paige got a fever that ended up rising to 104 at one point. The doctor heard rattling in her chest...requested we get an x-ray...and later that day found out she had a little pneumonia. PNEUMONIA?! You've got to be kidding! The doctor also checked Tyler's ears and his ear infection wasn't 100% gone so the doctor prescribed him another round of antibiotics for him. Round THREE for both of my kids!! We stayed home for a solid week to rest and get these kids well.
Oh, and Jeromy had bronchitis somewhere in the middle of all this. And, I somehow stayed healthy through it all! Thank God!
So, I'm happy to report that as of this moment, we are all healthy and happy!!!!! Let's hope it sticks for a while :)

Happy Birthday Magnus!
After our fun beach morning we went to Pelly's mini golf for Magnus' birthday party!
Paige and Clare
This is how they played each of the holes...all hitting the ball at the same time!
Paige got over the idea of golf pretty quick and just walked around checking things out. She loved the shark cage! The girls being sweet! Little Paige, Big Paige and Clare :)
Beach Day!
6 years of wedded bliss
That's right...SIX years ago! Time flies when you're having fun. Nicole and Chris watched the kids and Jerm and I went to Del Mar to celebrate. We were planning to have a drink at Poseidon, head to the market to get some food and have a romantic beach picnic. Well, after our 4th drink at Poseidon, we headed to Flavor for dinner! Didn't quite go as we planned but we had a blast!
no more pictures!
One night when we were just dating, I fell asleep on the cab ride home...nice, I know...so I was being tough and proud of myself for staying awake this time!Happy Birthday Shereen!
They are remodeling the shopping center we always go to and we are getting some great new restaurants...yeah! The other night we had a girls night at a new burger/beer place called The Counter. You can order from the menu or custom make your burger...delish! I mentioned it was the week of Shereen's birthday and she was adamant that we do not celebrate her birthday so we of course...DID! Nothing much, just decorations, balloons, cake and a head of cauliflower! She loves it so I put a big pink bow on a head of cauliflower :)
Happy Birthday to you!
The gang! Kristen, Jonna, Danielle, Sara, me, Sarah and Shereeen...we were only missing Pearl!

We LOVE Aunt Kennel!!
Yes, we all know her name isn't Kennel...it's Kendyl...but no one in our family seems to remember that there is a "d" in there! Aunt Kendyl is so special to Paige and Tyler and I love it that she lives here in San Diego and gets to hang out with them so often. Paige loves playing with her and her little dog Jack! Any night she is over, the first thing Paige says the next morning is "where's Aunt Kennel?" She has helped us TREMENDOUSLY in the babysitting department. There are so many events we wouldn't have been able to go to without her. Anytime I need her help, she's there and that means the world to me. She practically spent every waking moment with Paige while I was in Texas for Jennifer's wedding celebration. Paige was sick and Kendyl rose to the occasion of staying with a sick child. What an Aunt!
Baking cupcakes while Mom's in Texas
Kendyl picked up Paige from preschool and she was STOKED to ride in her Mini Cooper. She opened up her sun roof and Paige thought that was the coolest thing. Cool Aunt Kendyl :)
She is so special to me and I feel blessed to have such an amazing sister!

One Proud Momma
I had Paige's parent/teacher conference a few Friday's ago and she got a rave review!!! Of course, I think my child is close to perfect, but it means so much to hear it from someone else! The first thing her teachers said when I sat down was "Well, I think we all agree that Paige is an amazing kid so this should be short and sweet!" They said she was a pro-preschooler! She got "fully met" check marks for every aspect reviewed and the following paragraph:
Paige comes bouncing into the classroom with a big smile on her face eager to begin her day. She rotates successfully and with confidence throughout all areas of the classroom but prefers the dramatic play and art areas. We have been working with Paige to help her understand that other children have good ideas as well and it's important to take the time to listen to them. This can be a challenging skill for a child who naturally takes the leadership role, but it is something she's learning to work through. Paige is a joy to have in our class and is well like by her peers.
Ha! What a nice way to say she thinks she's the BOSS! I wonder where she gets that from? :)
We went to Target that day to pick out something to reward her. We decided a headband was a good idea but couldn't decide which one we liked. I took her picture with both to see which one (I know...totally ridiculous) she liked and she picked the light pink one. We seriously need to work on her smile!
And, I am so proud of Tyler! He is making more and more connections every day. Holding his foot up for me when we sit down to put his socks on, brushing his hair with a brush, putting the diaper where it should go on his body when I'm changing his diaper, etc. Just little things like that but it is just amazing to see him make those connections. He said "night night" the other day and I think he said "ball" once but he hasn't said it again. The kid LOVES balls! He gets so excited and no matter what toys are around he is totally drawn to the ball. He is such a smiley boy and has started to show a silly side. He'll pause and look for me when he knows he is doing something wrong...heading for the stairs (which this won't be as big of an issue because we got a gate yesterday!), getting into the trash, etc...and when he sees me will giggle! I love him so much and love that he's one now! Oh, and he loves music! Music class is so fun for him. He just walks around while the songs are playing with his eyebrows up, big smile and shaking whatever instrument is in his hands. Such a fun stage!
