Happy Birthday to you...

Thursday before Paige's birthday she got to open her present from Shereen because they couldn't make it to the party and it was the Melissa and Doug birthday cake set! We've been letting Tyler sit at her table with her (we are of course standing right there in case he tips over) and he LOVES it! So, they were having some birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday. A little practice for the weekend ;)
He loves playing with Paige!

Decisions, decisions...

For Paige's costume ball party, she wanted to wear a princess dress. All of hers are pretty worn so I asked my friend Shereen if we could borrow one of hers. Well, she brought me 4 so Paige should choose. Decisions, decisions! They are the official Disney store ones and are super nice. Paige has had so much fun playing in them all.

Preschool Pics

They had a photographer come to preschool to take pictures and I chose not to buy any but took pictures of my favorite ones.
She said the photographer didn't tell her to do this...who knows?!

Tyler's 8 months!

That's right...time is flying! I can't believe Tyler is 8 months old and I know I say that every month but it's true! He says MaMa, DaDa, GaGa and NaNa. Of course all in baby talk but he says MaMa the most. I never believed Mom's when they said their kids said Mama first because Dada is so much easier but this kid is one of them! I love it ;) He is eating solids 2 times a day and is having all formula now. I ran out of milk around 7 1/2 months so he's fully on the bottle now. It is a pain to mess with bottles but so nice to just pop a bottle in wherever we are. He takes a 30 min nap in the morning and an hour nap in the afternoon. This kid is not a napper. I think I'm going to have to sleep train him for naps because in the afternoon he usually wakes up after 20-30 minutes and I have to put him back down or hold him for the rest of the nap. But, he sleeps 11 hours straight at night so that's more important to me than naps! He used to sleep 7-7 but since the time change he still goes to bed around 7 and gets up at 6. I keep thinking he'll sleep until 7 but it has only happened once.

He's also started to crawl! Well...kinda. It's more like wiggling himself around and mostly just rolling to where he wants to go. He's close though. Jeromy has been standing him up lots and he'll hold on to the coffee table. I don't think this kid is going to crawl for long!

He is such a happy baby and we are truly enjoying every minute with him!

Sneak Peek...

I hope no one got too excited with the title of this post because it's just Paige's Christmas outfit! We have been shopping for her clothes lately for the first time (this kid has been fully stocked on clothes until now believe it or not!) and it's been so fun! Here are her shoes...to die for! I guess my style is clear because Sarah wanted to get these for Paige's birthday and knew they were so up my alley she checked with Sara to see if I'd already bought them! PS: you might notice her pink and blue toenail polish...Dad's idea...
And here it is! Not the best picture, obviously, but you get it. I love it and she might even love it a little more!
And, here's a random pic of Tyler! What a cutie pie. I had a few other random pictures from my phone.
The other morning I asked Paige to play with Tyler for a minute so I could finish getting ready and she got her potty to make a stage and was singing and dancing for him...ha!

Best Wishes Aurelia & Family!

Last night Pearl and Danielle hosted a family party for Aurelia and her family. They are moving to Milwaukee December 2...BRRRRR!! Carlos got a job there so they are moving to Milwaukee for 1 year and then to Chile. He just accepted the job and we are all so sad they are moving! It's a bittersweet goodbye. Good for their family, but we'll all miss them! Jeromy wasn't able to make it. Bret Haley's Mom passed away from Breast Cancer so he went to Ojai for the funeral. She was an amazing woman and it turns out we didn't even realize how amazing and generous she truly was until hearing more stories at her funeral. She's in a better place now!

I didn't take any pictures but Pearl already sent these and I love them! Here's all the girls (minus Sarah Szekeres and Nicole)

Kristen, Jonna, Aurelia, Pearl, Danielle, me, Shereen and Sara
Then we added all the kiddos! (minus Palmer & Karina) Not a bad pic for 14 kids and 8 Moms!

Dad's in a Magazine...I'm at Walmart!

This was the title of an email my Mom sent me tonight! She works for Loreal so spends her time at Walmarts, Bed Bath & Beyonds, Ulta's, etc. She's always joking about how my Dad and her spend their days at different ends of the spectrum. Anyway, my Dad was in a magazine so I thought I'd share it with everyone! Makes me proud of my Dad...and my Mom too!
Here's the article:
Measuring Happiness The ever-dashing Wally Hardin (at left), owner of The Man's Shop, calls custom clothing "works of art that you get to wear."
