Carrie and Tyler are very close friends of ours and Carrie is due with her first baby the first of July!! They aren't finding out the sex so it's even that much more exciting! They live in Ojai, where Jeromy grew up, and she had her baby shower the weekend of Father's Day so it worked out perfect for us. Todd and Clela, Matt and Reyna were all there so we were able to spend Father's Day together!
On the way up there, we drove the Jeep - Jeromy usually drives that car and I drive a Yukon - and the kids were so excited that they could hold hands in the back. Is there anything more precious than that?! This moment made my heart over the moon with joy!
We got there Friday night and Jeromy and all the boys went camping. We stayed with Carrie and had a great girls night! Kathleen and her little 2 year old girl Megan came over and we ate pizza and played. Such a fun night and it was so good to spend some time with Carrie. Paige was IN LOVE with Carrie (and Tyler for that matter) and wanted her to read her a bedtime story.
Saturday morning the kids woke up early so we walked to the coffee shop and got Paige some chocolate milk, bagles for all and a LARGE coffee for Mom! Then we walked to the park. We had so much fun playing together! The weather was so refreshing, we were the only people at the park and I don't usually play at the park with them much because I'm chasing Tyler or chatting with friends. Since the park was totally empty, Tyler could roam a little without me worrying and we could all play together. What a fun morning!

That afternoon was Carrie's baby shower! What a beautiful and fun shower. I didn't take many pictures...but here's a few. Reyna took a bunch on her camera so I'll post more when I get those from her. Here's Carrie, her friend (can't remember her name) and her Mom, Debbie. Her Grandma name is going to be Momma D...she decided that before Carrie was even pregnant!
After the shower we hung out with Grammy & Pappy and walked around downtown Ojai. Let me just be clear about "downtown"...the entire Ojai Valley is 10 miles wide and 3 miles long. So, downtown is about a quarter of a mile. Ha! There was a beer festival going on and one of Jeromy's friends bands - Todd Hannigan - was playing so we watched for a minute before heading to dinner. 
Sunday morning Jeromy, big Tyler and little Tyler went to feed Carrie's grandpa's horses. I don't know if Jeromy got any pictures but he said Tyler was cute with the horses. When they got back we headed to Brian and Kathleen's house for breakfast. We ended up making plans to meet the family for breakfast so we just had coffee at their house. We met the family for brunch at Eggs 'n' Things. We expected to wait for a table since it was Father's Day and they told us 20 minutes. Well, an hour later, we were seated. 4 kids and 6 adults in their waiting room...chaos!! Anyway, we sat down, had a great brunch and gave the boys their cards and gifts.

Oh, haven't mentioned the latest boo-boo for Tyler. He was going into our backyard and fell on a step and pretty much ate the concrete. Poor baby! It's all healed now thankfully :)

Here's the tie we made Jeromy at Michael's. We painted it pink and then put their handprints on it. 
Totally out of order...but here we are at Michael's making the shirt :) Yes, Jeromy was there!
And, this is out of order too but I didn't want to do a whole post for this one picture! He actually wore it to work one day...what a Dad!
Paige also gave him a painted frame from preschool with her picture in it and I made him a really cute card from Snapfish.
Oh, and he got a handprint card from the kids that we did at Stroller Strides. I haven't gone in FOREVER and went one day and that was the craft...sweet!
I know Tyler is crying here but this was the best one I could get.
