Kelsey & Paige's First Camping Trip...ahh!!

Jeromy has wanted to take me camping since the day I met him so this year my gift to him for his birthday was just that. We got a campsite at San Mateo right by San Onofre. It was about 2 miles from the beach so after Jerm and I set up the tent we borrowed from Jonna...which surprising to me only took about 10 minutes. Then we headed to the beach!

Our campsite! The tent fit Paige's pack'n'play and a blow up mattress...thank God!
Cutie Pie at the beach under our new umbrella
Looking out to find Daddy surfing
The water is pretty warm right now so Paige and I had fun jumping the waves and playing in the water.
Building a sandcastle and playing in the sand while Mom sits in the chair catching up on some really important celebrity gossip
What a hunky surfer dude!
We had to walk 20 minutes along this path to get to the beach. Jeromy surfed at Trustles which is a destination surf spot. He was stoked to get to surf there. We piled up the Bob with everything we could...gotta love the Bob. And, gotta love this picture!
Paige buried in the towels...what a precious face
After the beach we went to a local market and got chicken, beef, corn, potatoes, butter and seasoning to make for dinner. Ashley & Blake drove in from Irvine to hang out. It was great to see them. BUT, I don't think they knew what kind of a dinner they were in for! I did all the packing and Jeromy said I shouldn't bring any plates, utensils, etc so I thankfully decided to throw in 3 plates, 3 forks, 2 spoons, 2 knives and a roll of foil. We wrapped the veggies in foil and baked them over the fire and Jeromy just laid foil on the grill to make a pan to grill the meat. It turned out pretty good considering the way it was prepared! Jeromy continues to surprise and impress me. By far the best thing we packed was this super nerdy headlight lamp. We bought these for all the men in the family one Christmas as a joke...who knew it would end up being the best thing for this trip! Paige wore it most of the time so she could see what the heck and where the heck she was going but I even wore it to clean up before bedtime. Thankfully, there were no pictures of me wearing it! What a great invention.
Me and my buddy hanging by the campfire. Side note...the other night Jeromy was trying to get Paige to say he was her number one so now I've got her to say that Mommy is her best friend and her number one! Don't mess with me buddy! I have more time to train her on what I want her to say!
That morning we got geared up for a quick bike ride and Jeromy decided we should get the fire going before we took off. Good thing he had a little helper to get the fire going.
This picture needs no description...priceless!
I wanted to take a picture of Paige's cute little curls hanging out under her helmet. I don't know where she got those little curls from but I think they are so cute!
After a quick bike ride, Heather, Chad and Evan showed up with some groceries to make breakfast. Mistake number one was letting Jeromy coordinate breakfast with Chad. Jerm didn't make it clear that we literally had 2 spoons, seasoning and a roll of foil so Chad brought eggs, bacon and a loaf of bread. McGyver (Jeromy) made the foil into little bird nest looking bowls to cook the eggs, toasted the bread on the grill over the fire and heated up the bacon (luckily it was fully cooked and just needed to be heated up) and made egg mcmuffin sandwiches! What a clever little character. Again, he continues to amaze me. I put jelly on mine (I brought peanut butter and jelly in case we were desperate for food) and everyone thought that was totally crazy. They are the crazy ones and don't know what they're missing out on. Turned out really good considering what Jeromy had to work with!

We had a really fun time camping and I'm glad we did it. One night was enough for me but I kinda would have liked to spend more time at the campsite hanging out while the sun was out. I brought 15 magazines to go through thinking we were just going to be doing nothing and I think I only had time to go through one and that was at the beach! Plus it took us 3 hours to get packed and ready to leave the house so after all that packing and setting up, we really didn't use it for a long time!

It's a......BOY!!!!

It's a BOY!!!!!!! We cheated the system and went to the 3d sonogram place to find out the sex this morning! I'm only 15 weeks and normally you would find out at the doctors office at 20 weeks. Here's Paige looking at Daddy making sure he's paying attention.
What a cute big sister!
Surprise, it's a boy! Btw, Jeromy is just pointing at the picture...not necessarily the boy part :) I'm getting really excited and now we just need to figure out a name! Right now we like Tyler, I like Parker but we really haven't talked about it much so more to come on that! It's a boy, it's a boy!!!
Here are some of the 3d pics. They are so different than the ones we had with Paige. I was 33 weeks along so she was a chunky little baby already, not still in the developmental stage. We are so excited to have one of each!

Playdate at Clare & Palmer's

So, we had so much fun at Danielle's house on Wednesday we decided to do it again on Friday at Clare and Palmer's! Here's the kiddos munching down. I swear I don't feed my child pizza everyday :)

Paige's 2nd Home

Nicole and I went to "Renee's Bowtique" bow party so Chris watched the three musketeers. I got the cutest flip-flops - they are brown with a pink and brown polka-dot bow on the top and diamonds...I got them in a size 8-9 and Paige is almost in a 7 so they are huge but she loves them and the fact they are 2 sizes to big don't seem to bother her! And, I only got one bow but it is perfect. Not that her bows weren't super cute it's just that we have so many already. Anyway, we are having a princess & pirate birthday party for Paige and I got a pink and white bow that has a skull in the middle...perfect! We had fun and Paige had a great time too! They were playing some rockband. Here's one with Paige on the mic

And now on the guitar
This picture is from another night but I thought I'd throw it in here. Paige and Jeromy walked down to say hi and they said Paige walked right in - waved and said hello to the adults and made herself at home by hopping on the couch next to her buds. They are such great friends and I'm so happy they are our neighbors!

Playdate at Corbin & Maddie's

Today we had a playdate at Corbin and Maddie's house. Here's a cute pic of the chaos :)

And, cute baby Palmer and Maddie hanging out
The pizza has arrived and they are anxiously awaiting!
Enjoying lunch The Stroller Strides playgroup was such a hit Danielle filled up water balloons for the kiddos to play with! It was so funny...the boys were throwing them as hard as they could and the girls were throwing them all soft and gentle and theirs weren't even breaking!

Happy Birthday Jeromy!

Jerm turned 34 today! For some reason 34 sounds so much older than 33 but neither one of them are old! He is everything I ever dreamed of in a husband, father and best friend. I love him with all of my heart and I'm so blessed that he is my hubby! Paige and I decided to make the morning special by making him some blueberry muffins. Paige kept eyeing the muffins (she thought they were cupcakes)

They turned out great! I think it was because of all of Paige's help.
Happy Birthday to you Daddy!
Blowing out the candles
That night we went to Basic to celebrate. Here's Paige shoveling cake in her mouth as quick as she can...Miss Manners :)

Water Balloon Playgroup at SS!

I'm the playgroup captain for the Carmel Valley Stroller Strides and every Tuesday after class we have a playgroup. Today was so much fun! Water Balloons! It only took me a solid hour to fill up all 150 balloons...but it was worth every minute. The kids had a great time.

Mom's Over-Night Out!

This weekend we headed up to Pechanga for a girls night out! Pechanga is like a mini-Vegas and it was the perfect one night get away. We got there Friday afternoon and headed straight to the pool. They had open cabanas so we jumped on those right away.

We headed downstairs for dinner which was so nice to not have to drive anywhere!

We hit the blackjack table for about 30 minutes and made out like bandits! I made $35 and Nicole made $50! Poor, poor April. She got dealt a 12 6 times in a row!!!! We collected our winnings and headed to the club! Whoop-whoop! It was really fun to dance and hang out but even more fun to people watch! We hung out at the club until about midnight and then most of us were ready to hit the sack.
Cute pic of me and Nicole. Thanks so much to Nicole...she planned the whole thing!
