Characters!!!

Here's what a typical day at our house looks like...

Put Tyler down for a nap and I heard him playing in his room and opened the door to find this little naked man!  PS...that's a desert trooper Star Wars toy between his legs and yes, he was dressed complete with a diaper when I left the room

I can't look at this picture without laughing!  They were playing dress up - Tyler was Darth Vader with the blanket as his cape and not sure why that silly hat of Paige's made him Darth Vader but it did in his mind.  And, Paige wanted long hair, so we put her dance tights over a blanket to give her long hair.  I asked Tyler to hold the blanket so that the picture would be appropriate to send to family.  Paige popped her knee (of course) so Tyler did the same...and here's the picture I got!!!

Paige's preschool class changes their imaginary play area once a month or something and this month, it was the beach.  One day during the last week of class, Mom's were invited in the last few minutes of class to present the kids with their end of the year book.  So, all the Mom's are in the room, going through the books with their preschoolers and I look over and see Tyler like this.  

Playing dress up yet again...and Tyler wanted to be Batman.  We told him it was a dress and it was Batgirl but he was determined that we were wrong and wanted to put on the Batman costume anyway. So, I did and he decided he needed a princess tiara.  I asked to take his picture and he started doing his own karate like moves and here's what he looked like when I snapped the picture.

Big Paige (an older Paige that is in our group of friends) sent little Paige some of her latest artwork in the mail.  Paige was SO excited to get mail so we took a pic and send Big Paige's Mom a thank you text

One of the weekends my Mom was in town, she brought Paige some new Fancy Nancy books.  Once of them is about a mermaid and Paige wanted to dress like Fancy Nancy.  My Mom and Paige worked on this outfit for about an hour and I think they did a great job!

I'm happy to announce we have a dining room again!  We have been sitting at bar stools and the kids have sat at a kid table to eat for too long!  We got Jeromy's grandparents table!  It's been in the family forever and Todd and Clela brought it down for us last time they visited.  We're going to refinish it and paint it white, but for now, we're just happy it's in our house.  Our dining room has been a playroom (there used to be a train table in the middle there) but we're going to convert our garage into the playroom.  Lots of Summer projects for Big Daddy!!
