Sea World with Cici

Paige and Cici used to have playdates almost every Wednesday but since Cici started preschool (wow, almost a year ago!) we haven't played much with her. We met them today at Sea World and had a great time!

I'm free!! I usually make Paige hold my hand or hold the stroller (if she's not in it) but we let them walk ahead of us and Paige was running around like a loose goose!

Face Painting! Both of the girls are really into this right now so they had fun watching each other. Paige got 3 butterfly's on her cheek and Cici got her whole face painted!

Summertime at the Beach!

Today we went to the beach and I had so much fun playing with Paige. She is at such a fun age! Tyler was snoozing so he was hanging in the stroller while we played in the water and sand.

Christmas Treats

Paige and Tyler were sick this week so not too much to report on. They had coughs and congestion but were in overall good spirits so that was nice :) One day we made Rice Crispy Treats (don't think I didn't burn the butter...guess I'm not the next host of Semi-Homemade) and Paige had so much fun. She called them Christmas Treats! She wanted to put pink sprinkles on them but proceeded to put the top of the jar entirely in her mouth so those were trash and we compromised with blue. Obviously I don't have to do this with treats, but if Paige won't eat something I would entice her to eat it by putting pink sprinkles on it! I figure it's not too much added sugar and sometimes would do the trick! Anyway, even with the burnt butter, they turned out pretty good.

Where are you going Mom?

The other day we were going to Costco and I dazed out and passed my exit and Paige asked if we were going to swim. Thank goodness she did! We were going the way we go to swim and how crazy that she noticed! Probably not a good thing that my 2 year old daughter has a better sense of direction than I do! I made a u-turn and said that we were going to Costco and she said "Mom, we have food at home. Let's just go home." Seriously?!? She's 2 and is so aware of what's going on! I better stay on the ball with this kid!

Not Today!

When Paige asks me something and I want to say no I'll say "well, not today!" Like lately she keeps asking if we can go to Disneyland I'll say "well, not today!" So, now when I tell Paige it's time for a nap or something she doesn't want to do, she'll say "not today!"

Also, when it's time for a nap and she says no I'll point to the clock and tell her that the clock says it's time for a nap when the first number is a 2. So, now when she doesn't want to go to bed or take a nap, she'll go over and point to the clock and say..."no, the clock says it's time to play!"

Can I kiss his...

When changing Tyler's diaper, Paige will point at his weiner (that's what we decided to call his little boy part) and giggle and say something along the lines of "Tyler has a weiner!" At Tyler's 2 month appointment we changed his diaper while waiting on the Doctor and while his diaper was off, Paige said "Mommy, can I kiss his weiner?" HA! I tried not to laugh too hard!! What do you say to that?! I just told her that's where his pee came out so she probably shouldn't kiss him there.

Sea World!

Today we went to Sea World with Kendyl...fun times! We haven't been in at least 6 months and this time was so fun with Paige being a little older. We had a blast! We stayed until 3ish and Paige was totally pooped. She didn't get a nap yesterday so she was extra tired. She actually fell asleep in the stroller on the way to the car! And, continued to sleep for another 3 hours...so I got to take an hour nap today too...YAHOO!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day! We started the day making Jeromy and Pappy cookies and a big breakfast while they were golfing (did I mention Jeromy golfed Friday night, twice Saturday and once again Sunday morining!) Paige was a great little helper :)

And so was Tyler :)

Matt and Reyna spent the week camping at Yosemite and stopped at K & P's house on the way home to spend the night. They got to the house around 2pm so we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging with them. Jeromy and Matt spent most of the time in the hot tub watching the US Open. You can see him in the background!

Paige hopped in the octagon to play with the twins. She was so sweet to them and it was fun to watch them play. I can't believe they are already 8 months old! They are so active right now...talking, laughing, grabbing everything and putting it in their mouth and moving non-stop! Reyna and Matt are such great parents. I don't know how they do it with twins!

We decided to put them all in the bath for a picture. I don't think we could have possibly fit one more person in the room!

I think these are the cutest pictures! Tyler is as big as the twins!!!

I'm not sure what face Paige was making! She wouldn't smile...just looked at us like little Miss Priss Pot!

Kiki & Pappy's House

We got to Kiki and Pappy's house yesterday afternoon and they had the house all set up for a princess tea party! Paige has a new book "Tea with Ruby" and it's all about having tea with the queen and it ends up being Ruby's grandma! Paige has a princess tea set at Kiki's house so she put it together that she was going to Kiki's for a tea party! They made a welcome sign that said "Royal Tea Party presenting Princess Paige and Queen Kiki"! They also had a tea party all set up complete with a princess table cloth, tea set, pink roses, pink cupcakes and tiaras! How cute is that! It's too bad that this little girl isn't loved, huh?! She was so excited!!!

While the girls were in princess land, Todd and Tyler were catching up :)

But Kiki couldn't stand it long and got herself some Tyler time too!

Tyler is 3 months old!

I can't believe he is 3 months old! I swear I fall more in love with him everyday! He is smiling and cooing now and is much more interactive. I've been keeping a running list of cute things so some of them are a little dated but I guess it's better documented now than never!

:: he has slept from 10 pm-6 or 7am a few nights but usually gets up around 3-4am to nurse and gets up again around 7-8am

:: always does cute sound after sneezing like "ohhhh" and he never sneezes just once
:: paige always kisses him 3 times...not just once
:: even if he doesn't Paige will randomly say "my brother smiled at me!" or she'll say "he's laughing at me" and when he coo's she'll make up what he's saying like "he said hi to me!"

:: sometimes when I'm holding him or right when he wakes up she'll want to have me hold him to her eye level so she can see and kiss him
:: when he is crying, she'll run over and say "don't worry your big sister is here" or "do you want mommy?"
:: when he is crying she'll sing songs...usually "twinkle twinkle" to get him to stop crying

:: Paige will hold his hands to make him to wave or dance
:: Paige always makes sure he is included
:: She'll say "he's so little...look at his little feet" or "he's such a big boy" and the other day told Jeromy "good job big boy!"
:: Paige gets excited to introduce him - will say "this is my brother Tyler" like Vanna White
:: his nicknames are: Tyler Bug, T-bone, Little Man, T-buggy and Uncle Matt calls him Tile Maker
:: he does best when we are on the go or when there is total chaos at our house
:: everyone says he looks like Jerm
:: He is a great burper! Eats 6 minutes on each side
:: Paige will hold his hand while they are sitting next to each other in the car...SO sweet to see that!
