Texas Trip!

There are so many pictures...we were there for 9 days! I was going to split it up into different posts, but decided to just do one huge one...so here we go!

First, I should back up a little and mention that Tootsie came out the weekend before we went to Texas to babysit so that Jerm and I could go waterskiing! What a great grandma :) I mentioned that I didn't know who was going to babysit so she offered to come out and do it for us! Yahoo! She got in Friday afternoon and we went to lunch with Kendyl. Paige was so funny...this picture didn't quite capture it...but she lifted up her shirt and leaned back on the booth as if to say "phew, I'm so full" but of course she hadn't eaten anything! It was super funny. Paige with her best buddy Tootsie. It doesn't take them long to connect and once they do you can forget about Paige having anything to do with anyone else! Kendyl & Me at lunchShe's growing up to quick! Eating breakfast at our coffee table Friday night we went to the Kings of Leon concert with Jonna and Matt for her birthday. That was super fun and it was great that Tootsie was here to babysit! Saturday we had Clare's bday party and that night we went to see the Hangover...super funny and so fun to go to the movies with Jeromy! I think that is the second movie we've seen together since Paige!

Sunday we went waterskiing all day and Monday, Tootsie flew back with us. I ended up having a first class ticket so I gave it to my Mom and she had Paige up there. The woman that sat next to my Mom was the wife of a pilot and said she got to ride first class all the time and that she would switch with me so we could be together! What are the odds of that? So, we all rode in the first seats in first class...yahoo! That's the way to travel! Paige did so good. Here's a pic of Paige and Tootsie watching Cinderella.
We spent Tuesday with Nanny and Poppa. They came over to my parents house for a while and we had Paige put on her "Big Sister" shirt. They were surprised and really excited! Then we went to their house so we could pick up their truck. My dad traded in the truck and the Porshe for a new Porshe (super nice!) so we used Poppa's truck for our car. Thank goodness they have an extra car! Paige played with babies and tea with Nanny...pretty cute :)

Paige rocking the baby night-nightPaige trying on Poppa's glasses and making Nanny try them on two pairs!

Tuesday night we hung at the house. Wally Pop got home around 4 and Tootsie got home around 6. It was fun to just hang with them in the pool. Here's Paige looking at the moon...although it looks like she's doing something else! Eating dinner with Wally Pop's glasses onblowing bubblesPaige learning the Hardin way to drink :) Wednesday I went to visit Jennifer at the Baylor NICU unit. I've always wanted to go and this trip I finally made it! Wow. That was such a cool experience and it made me so proud of Jennifer. I can't believe that she takes care of tiny, helpless babies for her job. Jennifer's co-workers are all so nice and I was just in awe at how tiny the babies were and how important their jobs are. GO JENNIFER!Wednesday night the Baker family came over to swim and hang out. Baby Hudson is growing up so quick! Paige and Ella got along great. Ella brought over a Fancy Nancy doll so I was worried their might be a battle over it but Ella was nice and shared. Here they are taking a quick dip saying "cheers"! (eating ice out of plastic wine glasses)pretending to light candles (what a cute little tooshie)and here's Wally Pop hanging with Mr. Hudson in the hot tub
Thursday we went back to Nanny and Poppa's house to play for a while.
Friday Nana came over to visit...forgot to take pictures...but we had Paige wear her "Big Sister" shirt for her too. I'm not sure if she understood so my Mom had to spell it out for her! Too funny. Tootsie stopped by Paper Dots...a super cute kids store right by their house...and came home with a bag full of goodies for Paige! 3 outfits and 2 swimsuits...I think we're going to save them for her birthday. Here's Paige shakin her hips modeling one of her new outfits for us. She loves this one because it has ice cream and cupcakes on it. Isnt' she the cutest thing ever!
This is Paige's swing that we used when visiting and she was putting her babies to sleep in it and then decided to hop in it herself and watch some cartoons. What a character! Friday night and all day Saturday was reunion stuff. Sunday we took Jeromy to the airport and went to Papa and Billye's house after dropping him off. We wore the shirt again and they were excited. My cousin Crissy just adopted twins!! She is acting as a foster parent to them right now and I think has the option to adopt them after a certain period of time. So, Papa went from one great-grandchild (Paige) to two the next year (Aiden), four the next year (Crissy's twins) and five next year (the little cheese)! He is so happy and proud. Paige now thinks of Papa every time she sees coins now because Papa and her were putting them in the pockets of her skirt. Here she is giving Papa a big hug.
And her hugging MeMaw (what a sweetie pie)
I love this picture. This was the last night and they were watching...you'll be shocked...Cinderella. I just love it because my Mom's favorite meal is chips, rotel and wine and Paige got right in the middle of her picnic and made herself at home. Too cute!
on the way to the airport (this is a lunch box but Paige wanted to wear it like a backpack)
We had such a great, relaxing time. Paige was completely attached to Tootsie. She didn't care one thing about me when Tootsie was around and when Tootsie wasn't there she would put her hands near her mouth as if to make a megaphone and would yell "Tootsie, are you?" When Paige was ready to swim (which was all the time) she would tug on your clothes and say "off, swimsuit". She's quite the bossy little lady...I don't know where she gets it! She also started running her fingers through her hair and saying "dream" because in Cinderella she sings the song about dreaming while fixing her hair. And, she'll do this dance with her arms and say Cinderella because in the movie when Cinderella gets her ballgown on, she does the same dance. Saying that she is obsessed with princesses (especially Cinderella) would be an understatement! Also, when we arrived, Tootsie had a bed covered with princess toys...silverware, place mats, jammies, lunch boxes...you name it, she has a princess one of it!

We had such a great time and can't wait to see Tootsie and Wally Pop next month!
